Property Settlement and Separation Agreements

Any couple who has property and wishes to provide for its distribution during their separation period and after divorce or a couple who have no minor children must complete a Property Settlement Agreement (PSA) prior to divorce.  A PSA is a comprehensive contract between the parties that decides all issues of property, support, custody and visitation.  This agreement is a critical part of any divorce and separation as the parties will be bound by the terms of the PSA indefinitely.  To ensure sufficient protection of all your assets and interests, we recommend having your separation agreement drafted by our attorney who specializes in issues unique to military and government members.  If you have an agreement already drafted, we recommend sharing it with our attorney for review to ensure its content corresponds directly with your understanding and interpretation.
